The Camera Events Report allows fleet managers, supervisors, and safety staff to review camera-captured incidents across any camera equipped vehicle within your organization. Use this report to add internal comments, log operational notes, assign incidents for driver coaching, and directly notify drivers about specific camera events.
Step 1: Accessing the Report
Log in to the Navistream Portal.
Navigate to the Reports tab.
Under the Camera section, select Camera Events Beta (accessible via the middle of your screen or the left-hand navigation menu).
Step 2: Filtering and Search Controls
Use the Filters panel to narrow down your data:
Date Range: Select a preset date range from the drop-down menu or choose Custom Range to specify exact dates.
Note: Data retrieval is capped at a maximum of 30 days per query.Granular Filters: Filter by specific Organizations, Drivers, Vehicles, Camera Event Types, Review Statuses, or Coaching Statuses.
Search & Sort: Use the built-in search bar to look up specific entries, or use the bottom control panel to sort your results.
Step 3: Analyzing the Overview and Events Panels
Once filters are applied, the Overview and Events panels update automatically.
Overview Panel
Displays visual breakdowns of event types alongside top drivers and vehicles logging the highest number of events.
Interactive Charting: Clicking on a specific event type (e.g., Lane Weaving) generates a heatmap breakdown of occurrences across your selected date range and immediately filters the Events panel below.
Drill-Down Filtering: Click directly on a driver or vehicle within the chart to dynamically update both panels.
Collapsing the Panel: Click on the panel header to shrink it into a compact data summary.
Clear Filters: Uncheck selections in the Filters panel to reset your view
View Modes: Toggle between Card View and List View from the top of the panel. In List View, click any column header to re-sort data.
Events Panel
View Modes: Toggle between Card View and List View from the top of the panel. In List View, click any column header to re-sort data.
Event Details: View key details including event type, information tags, review status, and camera view type.
Media Footage: Depending on your organization's tenant settings, events will display snapshots or video clips from the Road View, Cabin View, or both.
Downloading Footage: If video downloads are enabled for your organization, click to download event clip files directly in .MP4 format.
Step 4: Reviewing, Commenting, and Coaching Drivers
To manage an incident or initiate driver coaching:
Click on any individual event card (or click View under the Actions column in List View).
The full details page will launch, featuring event metrics and an integrated map view.
Update Review Status: Click your desired status (e.g., Under Review, Reviewed, Coaching Required).
Add Notes: Type internal comments into the provided text field.
Save: Click Save Review to commit status changes and notes.
Assign Coaching: Select Assign for Coaching to flag the event and notify the driver for follow-up instruction.
