Keeping your trailers logged correctly is vital; it keeps your tablet in sync with your vehicle, which ensures your Driver Logs and Inspections stay fully compliant.

Prerequisites & Features

  • Yard Moves: If you are unhooking inside a private yard, you can toggle Yard Moves to ON at the top of the screen. This increases the automatic driving threshold from 8 km/h to 32 km/h, preventing brief movements in the yard from consuming your driving hours. (If this toggle is missing, contact your administrator).

Step 1: Start the Unhook Activity

  1. From the Main Menu, tap Activities.

  2. Select Unhook Trailer.

  3. On the selection screen, locate your attached trailers.

  4. Tap the checkbox next to each trailer you are unhooking. (If you select the wrong one, tap the box again to clear it).

  5. Tap Next to proceed to the details page.

    • Need to stop? Tap Abort to cancel the process without saving changes.

    • Third-party tools: Tap Open Apps if you need to access configured companion applications.

Step 2: Fill Out Activity Details

On the Activity Details screen (which displays your start time and an active timer):

  1. Select the Reason for unhooking the trailer from the list.

  2. Enter a Shipping ID or additional details in the Notes field if applicable.

  3. Tap Done when complete.

Step 3: Complete Required Post-Trip Inspection

Tapping Done automatically launches the required Post-Trip Inspection for the unhooked trailer:

  1. Perform the physical inspection and record any findings on your tablet.

  2. Once complete, tap Done to open the Safety Declaration.

  3. Select Safe or Unsafe, then confirm your choice.

  4. Verify the Inspector and Location details.

  5. Add your signature (if not pre-populated) and tap Submit Inspection.
