Keeping your trailers logged correctly is vital; it keeps your tablet in sync with your vehicle, which ensures your Driver Logs and Inspections stay fully compliant.
Prerequisites & Features
Yard Moves: If you are hooking a trailer inside a private yard, you can toggle Yard Moves to ON at the top of the screen. This increases the automatic driving threshold from 8 km/h to 32 km/h, preventing brief movements in the yard from consuming your driving hours. (If this toggle is missing, contact your administrator).
Step 1: Start Hook Trailer Activity:
From the Main Menu, tap Activities and choose the Hook Trailer Activity.
Your attached trailers (if any)
The + Add button located on the right.
You can scroll or search to find your specific trailer ID. Or depending on your organization, you can create a new trailer.
If applicable, you can update the trailer’s odometer field once you’ve selected a trailer.
At the bottom of the screen, you’ll see three main options:
Abort: Use this if you need to cancel the activity entirely.
Open Apps: This launches any companion apps configured by your organization.
And Next: Select this whenever you have selected the correct trailers.
Step 2: Fill out the Activity Details
On this page you will see the start time and a timer. You can also add a Shipping ID or any extra notes if needed.
Step 3: Complete Required Post-Trip Inspection
Tapping Done automatically launches the required Post-Trip Inspection for the unhooked trailer:
Perform the physical inspection and record any findings on your tablet.
Once complete, tap Done to open the Safety Declaration.
Select Safe or Unsafe, then confirm your choice.
Verify the Inspector and Location details.
Add your signature (if not pre-populated) and tap Submit Inspection.
