After logging into your Navistream tablet, you must select and connect to your assigned vehicle before starting your shift.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Select Your Vehicle

  1. Look at the Vehicle Connection screen. If your vehicle is already displayed from your last shift, verify it is correct.

  2. If the field is blank or shows the wrong vehicle, tap the Selection Field.

  3. Scroll through the list and tap your vehicle’s name.

    • Can't find your vehicle? Tap the Search bar at the bottom of the screen, type your vehicle's name or number, and select it from the search results.

2. Connect to the Vehicle

  1. Tap the Connect button. The system will automatically attempt to establish an ECM (Engine Control Module) connection with the truck.

  2. Depending on your connection status, one of two things will happen:

    • Successful ECM Connection: You will proceed directly to the Vehicle Configuration screen.

    • Failed Connection: You will see an "Unable To Connect To Vehicle" prompt.

Troubleshooting Unsuccessful Connections

If the system cannot detect an ECM connection and you tap Continue, an ELD Notice pop-up will appear warning you that the ECM link is missing.

You will have two options:

  • Try Again: Go back to re-attempt the connection (ensure vehicle ignition is on).

  • Continue: Proceed to the Vehicle Configuration screen without an ECM link.

Important: An active ECM connection is required to remain fully compliant with the ELD mandate. If you are consistently unable to establish an ECM connection, contact support before operating the vehicle.

Next Steps

  • Once connected, refer to the "How to Configure a Vehicle" guide to set up trailers, shipments, or co-drivers.
