The Yard Moves feature allows drivers to move their vehicle on private property or within job sites without changing their duty status to "Driving." This helps preserve your available driving hours for time on public roads.
Requirements
To use Yard Moves, your tablet must meet two conditions:
Your account administrator must have enabled the Yard Moves permission on your profile.
Your tablet must have an active ECM connection to the vehicle.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Enabling Yard Moves
Navigate to the Activities screen on your tablet.
Toggle the Yard Moves button to ON.
In the pop-up window that appears, read the notice and enter a reason for enabling Yard Moves in the provided text field.
Confirm to activate.
Disabling Yard Moves
Yard Moves will automatically or manually turn off when any of the following conditions occur:
You tap the Yard Moves button to toggle it OFF.
Your vehicle exceeds 32 km/h (20 mph).
You turn off the vehicle's engine.
You select Take a Break while performing Loading or Unloading activities.
You navigate back to the Main Menu.
Important: Always manually end Yard Moves as soon as you exit private property or return to public roads. Leaving Yard Moves enabled on public roads may result in uncorrected duty status errors on your Hours of Service (HOS) logs.
