How to Claim Unidentified Driving

Unidentified Driving results from a vehicle being driven while there is no one logged in, and connected, to the vehicle. These unidentified driving hours will remain attached to the vehicle until they have been assigned to a driver.

Your first indication that there are unclaimed driving records will be the following message while on the Vehicle Connection screen.

Unidentified Driving can be accessed in two different locations, both of which will be highlighted yellow if there is unidentified driving present:

  1. The first is through the Review screen by tapping on Unidentified Driving
  2. The second is through the ELD Menu by tapping on Unidentified Driving.

Both of these options will take you to the Unidentified Driving Time screen. Here you are provided the Status, Date, Time, Location, Duration, and Distance for each instance of unidentified driving. You are also presented with the options of either Claiming or Ignoring each instance of unidentified driving.

Only select Claim for those instances that you are responsible for and select Ignore for instances that you are not responsible for. Once you are done, tap on Apply Choices. The claimed driving will be added to your driver logs. Once claimed, please review your logs to ensure accuracy, and edit if required.
