Navistream cameras use sensors to detect risky driving events and must be calibrated before first use.
Preparation:
Ensure your vehicle is parked on a level surface. If you are in a hilly area, move to a flat location before beginning the process.
Calibration Steps:
To calibrate or recalibrate the accelerometer please follow these steps:
Turn OFF the vehicle ignition.
Verify the dashcam is powered on.
Tap the touchscreen to access the PIN entry screen.
Enter your PIN (default is "3333").
If you have changed the PIN and no longer remember it, please reach out to Navistream Support.
Tap Settings.
Scroll down and tap Calibration.
The process takes a few seconds. Once complete, the status will update from Not Done to Done.
When to Recalibrate:
You may need to recalibrate the sensors if:
The camera has moved: Any physical adjustment to the camera requires recalibration. This includes when the windshield has been replaced on the vehicle.
False events occur: If the camera reports an unusually high number of events, recalibrate the sensors and continue monitoring.
If you have any questions or issues while calibrating the accelerometer please contact Navistream Support.
